When You Use a Price Quotation
1) Sales to new customer — formal offer with details; 2) Public/private tenders — required submission format; 3) Pre-contract phase — agree on scope and price before signing service/sales agreement; 4) Comparison shopping — customer requests quotes from multiple suppliers.
Legally Binding?
A quotation IS a binding offer (oferta) under VÕS § 16, provided it contains essential terms (price, scope) and signals intent to be bound. If customer accepts within validity period, a contract is formed. Use "indicative quote" or "not binding" wording if you want to keep flexibility.

How long should quotation be valid?
Standard 14-30 days. For complex projects — 60-90 days. Specify clearly: "This offer is valid until [date]".
Should I include VAT in the price?
